Giacini Atelier - The Brand

Established in 2007, Giacini Atelier has its roots in the 1920's... When Catherine Giacini, my grandmother, designed couture gowns in New York she was to become a key inspiration for future generations. From a very young age, I learned that a dress alone was simply a dress, but complemented by the right shoes, belt and perfect handbag became a stunning outfit!

Born out of a desire to create a stylish line of all fabric handbags for the active and fashionable gal-on-the-go, Giacini Atelier accessories are the ideal alternative to leather bags. Giacini Atelier Handbags are versatile and practical while maintaining a feminine, chic elegance. They are designed to be current yet classic, thus becoming a staple accessory in any woman's wardrobe. From our metro-chic line of canvas totes to our purses, all of our products are made by hand, reflecting our focus on quality, design and detail.

Giacini Atelier is based in San Diego, California and we manufacture all of our products domestically, ensuring they are as ethical as they are fashion-forward. As the founder and principal designer, I credit my cross-cultural upbringing for my design sensibilities, referencing my Brazilian, Sicilian and American backgrounds. I look to family, friends and nature to make bags that are as hip as our lifestyles.

Having started as a Graphic Designer, I was naturally drawn to work with fabrics. Before launching Giacini Atelier, I designed textiles and home products seen in various stores such as Pier 1 and Marks & Spencer (UK). My passion for fashion, fabrics and handbags came together when I launched Giacini Atelier. Today, women around the world can be seen with Giacini Atelier accessories on the streets of Europe, Brazil and the United States.

We are proud of the growing press buzz about Giacini Atelier, from In Touch Magazine to Fox TV. Additionally, we are honored to have caught the attention of gift guru and trend expert, Lash Fary, of Distinctive Assets, as well as high profile celebrity events such as the 2009 GRAMMY's and Oscars!
